BIS Building Wellness
The Benefits of Walking
A recent Telus Health survey confirms that 77% of employees say they would leave their current organization for one that offered better support for their wellbeing, even if it offered a lower salary. This highlights the importance of offering a wellness program for employees to maintain a healthy lifestyle. So, what are the building blocks for creating your own Wellness Program?
BIS will be sending a quarterly email to help our clients build their own Wellness Program. We will send information that you can simply copy and paste into an email or print and hand out to your employees.
Today, we shine a spotlight on a simple yet powerful activity that can significantly contribute to your employees' overall wellness: walking.

For the Employer: Walking Challenge Idea:
By organizing a friendly walking challenge within the company, you can help promote a culture of wellness. To assist, we have created an 8 week Walking Challenge Calendar your employees can use to record their personal walking initiatives. One calendar calculates in excel and the other can be printed and manually completed by each employee. We have also attached a Walking Across Canada Challenge, that you can use with your employees to start a walking group.
